Postdoc: Energy Geosciences

Dr. Mamun Miah is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Energy Geosciences Division at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. He received his Ph.D. in Engineering Sciences with an emphasis in Civil Engineering from the University of Mississippi in June 2016. Upon receiving a dissertation grant from LBNL, he worked on modeling fluid-induced seismicity by coupling a nonisothermal, multiphase flow code TOUGH2 with an earthquake simulation code PyLith. He is currently working with David McCallen on furthering his knowledge of structural engineering and engineering seismology. Prior to coming to the US, he completed his Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology in 2009.
