What is Bangladesh Studies?

Since its inception, The Journal of Bangladesh (JBS) has focused on content related to development and policy. However, after twenty years, in 2020, those on the editorial board find ourselves reconsidering the name of the journal and asking the question “What is Bangladesh Studies”? We therefore decided to hold a discussion with a group of scholars who are visible in Bangladesh, as well as some involved with the journal.
